     Hi Y'all~

I am super excited to show you one of my newest "all time favorites" project.  An Altered Paint brush for my design team project this month.  I have never altered a paint brush before but I am in a crafting group called "Craft That Divas" on face book and one of our challenges was to create a pinterest was to re-create a pinterest idea. So I decided to call this a "Spinterest" creation.  I wanted to alter a paint brush but wasn't so sure I wanted to do mine like theirs, I love "gypsy" themed projects and looked on pinterest for not only gypsy themed projects, Which by the way, there weren't many of those :(  and wanted to also alter a paint brush, so this is what I came up with.
First stop was the dollar tree to find a "House Paint Brush" which I got two in a pack so I was feeling super thrifty, lol. I immediately drove home and started working on it.
Second I used several layers of Gesso, because this brush was plastic with a black handle and I wanted a "shabby" theme to it.. no surprise there, lol.
Thirdly, I painted a light minty green color and then used several other colors to blend from the bottom of the brush to the top and waited to dry and glued on my decorated paper
from BoBunny "Gabrielle".
Then I was ready to go, I grabbed all of my wooden embellies from my SaCrafter's stash and painted gesso on the ones I wanted color on and then layered them with black glitter paint to add texture and then a royal blue on top, then on all of the pieces I used an assortment of shimmerz paints to add a dimensional paint look.
I also grabbed some white flowers and my digital ephemera from my stash and went crazy with more painting with shimmerz and watercolor paints to add more dimensional effects. I did the same with the cheese cloth but did use acrylic green paint first and then dried with my heat gun and then added more shimmerz.
Finally, I had everything ready to go, my Sa Crafter wooden embellies and my assortment of ephemera, stickers, metal pieces and seambinding ribbon. I began to figure out where I wanted to place everything and when I had it where I wanted it I glued everything down with hot glue gun. Then she was all done!! I just love how it turned out, my mother said where's the paint brush, lol. Maybe I over did it just a little, lol. But that's how I roll...tee hee.  Here are my finished photos down below along with my video. If you have any questions or comments please feel free to ask :)
Thank you so much for looking and have a fabulous crafty week!
